Terms of service

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 7, 2026

These Terms of Service apply when you make a booking with SEQ Air Care, use our website or booking portal, or engage us to provide air conditioning cleaning or related services.

By confirming a booking, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Please read these Terms before making a booking.

1. About Our Services

SEQ Air Care provides professional split system air conditioner cleaning and related services as described on our website or in your booking confirmation.

The exact services included in your appointment are those selected and confirmed at the time of booking, together with any changes agreed before or during the appointment.

Air conditioner cleaning is a cleaning and maintenance service. Unless specifically agreed otherwise, it does not include electrical repairs, refrigeration repairs, refrigerant work, component replacement, installation work or fault diagnosis requiring a licensed trade.

If we identify something that appears to require repair or specialist attention, we may recommend that you contact an appropriately qualified technician.

2. Making a Booking

You can request an appointment through our website or other booking channels made available by SEQ Air Care.

A booking is confirmed when you receive confirmation from us.

When making a booking, you are responsible for providing accurate information, including:

  • your name and contact information;

  • the service address;

  • the number and type of units requiring service;

  • any optional services selected; and

  • any information reasonably relevant to accessing or servicing the equipment.

Appointment availability is based on the information you provide when booking.

If the scope of the job changes substantially, the originally selected appointment time may no longer be suitable.

3. Appointment Times

We aim to attend at the confirmed appointment time.

Because SEQ Air Care provides services at different customer locations, reasonable delays may occasionally occur due to traffic, previous appointments, weather, unexpected job conditions or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where practical, we will let you know if there is a significant delay.

An appointment time is not intended to be a guarantee that arrival will occur at the exact minute shown.

4. Pricing

The price applicable to your booking will be displayed or communicated to you before your booking is confirmed.

Your final price may change if:

  • you add or remove units or services;

  • the scope of work is changed at your request;

  • a discount or promotional offer is added, removed or no longer applicable because of a booking change; or

  • additional work is separately discussed and agreed with you.

We will not perform additional chargeable work without your agreement.

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.

5. Adding or Removing Services

You may request changes to an existing booking, including adding or removing units or optional services.

Adding services may increase both the booking price and the amount of time required for the appointment.

If the additional work cannot reasonably fit within the existing appointment, we may offer another appointment time or arrange the additional work separately.

If services or units are removed, the booking price will be recalculated according to the services that remain and any applicable pricing or promotional conditions.

6. Payment

Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due after completion of the service.

Payment may be made using the payment methods offered by SEQ Air Care at the time of service.

You are responsible for paying the agreed price for services that have been provided.

If there is a genuine dispute regarding the service or amount payable, please contact us so that we can attempt to resolve it.

7. Rescheduling

You may reschedule your appointment before we arrive at the service address, subject to appointment availability.

There is no rescheduling fee for changing your appointment before we arrive.

A new appointment is not secured until the replacement appointment has been confirmed.

If you request to reschedule after we have already arrived at the service address and no service proceeds, the appointment will be treated as an on-site cancellation under section 8.

8. Cancellations

We understand that plans change.

You may cancel your booking before we arrive at the service address without a cancellation fee.

On-Site Cancellation

If we have already arrived at the booked service address for your appointment and you then cancel or decide not to proceed with the booking, a cancellation charge equal to 50% of the total confirmed booking price ($75 minimum) will apply.

The charge is intended to partially cover the time, travel costs and booking slot already incurred in attending the appointment.

For example, if your confirmed booking total is $300, the on-site cancellation charge would be $150.

The charge is calculated using the confirmed booking total after any applicable discounts.

The on-site cancellation charge will not apply where:

  • we decide that the service cannot safely or reasonably proceed;

  • we are unable to provide the booked service;

  • the cancellation results from a failure by SEQ Air Care to provide the service as agreed; or

  • you have a right to cancel without charge under the Australian Consumer Law or another applicable law.

9. Access to the Property

You are responsible for ensuring that we can reasonably access the property and the air conditioning equipment at the appointment time.

This includes providing access to relevant indoor and outdoor areas where necessary to perform the booked services.

Please tell us before the appointment about anything that may materially affect access or the safe completion of the job.

You should also ensure that pets, personal belongings and other potential obstructions are appropriately managed where they may interfere with the work area.

10. Safe Working Conditions

We take safety seriously.

We may decline to start, pause or stop work if we reasonably believe that continuing would be unsafe or could cause damage.

This may include situations involving:

  • unsafe electrical conditions;

  • damaged or unstable equipment;

  • unsafe access;

  • hazardous materials or contamination;

  • structural hazards;

  • aggressive animals;

  • equipment that cannot reasonably be isolated or accessed safely; or

  • another condition that creates an unreasonable safety risk.

Where possible, we will explain the issue and discuss available options with you.

If we determine that a service cannot proceed safely, the on-site cancellation charge will not apply merely because we attended the property.

11. Existing Faults and Equipment Condition

Air conditioners may have existing faults, wear, deterioration or damage that is unrelated to cleaning.

This may include:

  • electrical faults;

  • control board or electronic faults;

  • motor or bearing issues;

  • refrigerant or refrigeration system problems;

  • damaged or brittle plastics;

  • corrosion;

  • damaged insulation;

  • drainage problems;

  • installation defects;

  • previous repairs or modifications; and

  • age-related deterioration.

Some existing issues may only become apparent when the unit is inspected, opened, cleaned, reassembled or operated.

SEQ Air Care is not responsible for a pre-existing fault, defect, damage or deterioration that was not caused by our service.

Nothing in these Terms limits our responsibility where loss or damage is caused by a failure by us to exercise the level of care and skill required by law.

12. Cleaning Results

We aim to provide a thorough professional clean appropriate to the condition of the equipment.

However, cleaning cannot guarantee that every issue affecting an air conditioner will be resolved.

For example, cleaning may not:

  • repair mechanical or electrical faults;

  • correct refrigerant problems;

  • repair damaged components;

  • reverse corrosion or permanent deterioration;

  • remove permanent staining;

  • correct installation problems;

  • eliminate an odour where the source is elsewhere in the system or property; or

  • prevent dust, dirt, mould or other contaminants from returning in the future.

The condition, age, design and previous maintenance of the equipment can affect the result achievable through cleaning.

13. Drainage

Where drainage inspection or cleaning forms part of the booked service, we may inspect or flush accessible drainage components where appropriate.

A blocked, damaged, incorrectly installed or deteriorated drain may require repair or further work outside the scope of an air conditioner cleaning service.

Cleaning a drain does not guarantee that a drainage problem caused by an underlying defect will not return.

14. Customer-Supplied Information

We rely on information you provide when preparing for and attending your appointment.

Please tell us about any known:

  • electrical problems;

  • water leaks;

  • drainage problems;

  • previous damage;

  • unusual noises or smells;

  • intermittent faults;

  • recent repair work; or

  • other issues that may be relevant to the service.

Providing this information helps us assess the equipment and perform the service appropriately.

15. Before and After Photos

We may take photographs of the air conditioning equipment and surrounding work area before, during or after servicing.

These photographs may be used for:

  • documenting the condition of the equipment;

  • maintaining service records;

  • showing you work performed;

  • recording existing damage or faults; and

  • internal quality and customer service purposes.

We will not intentionally publish photographs that identify you or reveal private information about your property for promotional purposes without appropriate permission.

Our handling of personal information and service records is explained further in our Privacy Policy.

16. Promotions and Discount Codes

From time to time we may offer promotional pricing, discount codes or special offers.

Additional conditions may apply to a particular promotion and will be displayed or communicated with that offer.

Unless otherwise stated, discounts:

  • apply only during the advertised promotional period;

  • cannot be exchanged for cash; and

  • apply only to eligible services or bookings.

If a booking is changed, the discount applied to that booking may also change where the revised booking no longer meets the conditions of the promotion.

17. Circumstances Outside Our Control

Occasionally an appointment may need to be changed because of circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, illness, vehicle problems, road closures, emergencies or other unexpected events.

If this occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you and arrange another suitable appointment.

If we cannot provide the booked service and you do not wish to reschedule, you may cancel without an on-site cancellation charge.

18. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with rights and guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by these Terms where the law does not permit us to do so.

Among other things, services supplied to consumers must generally be provided with due care and skill, be reasonably fit for any purpose you made known to us where applicable, and be supplied within a reasonable time where no time has been agreed.

If our service does not comply with an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law depending on the circumstances and seriousness of the problem.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

19. Problems With a Service

If you believe there is a problem with work performed by SEQ Air Care, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Where appropriate, we may ask for information or photographs so that we can understand the issue.

We may also arrange to inspect the unit where reasonably necessary.

Where the Australian Consumer Law requires us to provide a remedy, we will provide the remedy required by law.

We encourage customers to contact us directly first so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.

20. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SEQ Air Care is not responsible for loss or damage arising solely from:

  • pre-existing equipment faults or damage;

  • age-related deterioration;

  • inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the customer;

  • faults outside the scope of the booked cleaning service;

  • work previously performed by another person;

  • circumstances outside our reasonable control; or

  • failure by the customer to follow reasonable instructions provided in connection with the service.

This section does not exclude or restrict liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted, including rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.

21. Website and Booking Portal

You must not misuse our website or booking systems.

You must not knowingly:

  • provide false booking information;

  • attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the website;

  • make fraudulent bookings;

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to another customer's booking information; or

  • use automated systems to interfere with appointment availability or booking functionality.

We may restrict access or cancel fraudulent or abusive bookings where reasonably necessary.

22. Privacy

Personal information collected in connection with enquiries, bookings and services is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it and how you can contact us about your information.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, booking processes, business practices or legal requirements.

Changes will apply to bookings made after the updated Terms are published unless otherwise required by law.

The Terms that applied when an existing booking was confirmed will generally continue to apply to that booking unless a change is agreed with you or required by law.

24. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be read down or removed to the minimum extent necessary.

The remainder of the Terms will continue to apply.

25. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
