These two air conditioners looked reasonably clean from the outside, but both were hiding mould, dust and heavy grime inside the airflow path. A thorough internal deep clean removed the build-up and left the systems visibly cleaner and fresher.
What was hiding inside
Heavy mould and grime were found inside both indoor units, particularly around the fan barrels, internal housing and airflow paths. The build-up was also contributing to a noticeable musty smell when the systems were running.
What was cleaned
Both split systems received a complete internal deep clean. The filters, evaporator coils, fan barrels, drain areas, internal housing, airflow paths and outer covers were cleaned, flushed and sanitised. Before and after photos were taken to show the result.
